Discovery of CRISPR-Cas 9 technique in the field of targeted genome editing has raised concerns about the possible misuse and technical risks associated with it. Globally efforts are being made to address these concerns including possible ethical and social impacts.
In this direction, Indian Council of Medical Research and Department of Biotechnology jointly in collaboration with Inserm are organizing a Public Session on Ethical, Legal and Social Implications on Gene Editing Using CRISPR-Cas9 Technology.
