A four day Edutech Campus 2017 has been organized by Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India in Bangalore, India, in order to facilitate long-term collaboration with Finnish Edugaming companies to try and reboot the Indian education system.
Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), NITI Ayog will partner: connecting tinkering labs supported by them to pilots of the Finnish EduTech.
Objective is to leverage the best education system of the world, the Finnish Education, through EduTech and EduGaming to prepare our education system for the skill sets needed for 21st century education.
Edutech Campus will facilitate long-term collaboration with Finnish Edugaming companies in co-creation of edu-gaming/tech for Indian school systems, pilot study in one or more Indian schools, introduction of a course in technical skills needed to develop edugames in university system.
The aim is to integrate Finnish educational models with the complex Indian educational system, leveraging the Finnish educational technology excellence and the expansive Indian Education landscape to prepare Indian education system for skills needed for the 21st century.
Scheduled from October 9 to 12, in this programme we will see a number of Finland Education Technology Companies participating along with Indian companies. School teachers and principals from public and private schools in different parts of India and other stakeholders working in learning experience design, edutech, edugaming or similar ﬁelds will be participating in the Campus.
The Edutech Campus kicks-off a long-term educational co-operation between India and Finland. It aims to bring Finnish products to Indian markets. Education technology and gaming can be leveraged to improve the education system and bring about skill development in India.
The Campus will take place at C-CAMP, NCBS-TIFR in Bangalore. The first two days will focus on co-creation workshop on developing edutech solutions for the Indian market. DBT is inviting experts from India and abroad who will participate in knowledge exchange and facilitating collaborations.
While key stakeholders will be presenting their points of views on Indian, Finnish education systems, Indian and Finnish companies will present their products, services & technology to audience.
